Collection: Juneteenth Freedom Day Collection

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day or Emancipation Day, is a holiday celebrated annually in the United States on June 19th. It marks the day in 1865 when Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas and proclaimed that all slaves were free, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. Juneteenth is a time to celebrate African American freedom, culture, and achievements, as well as reflect on the progress and work that still needs to be done toward racial equality and justice.
